After graduating with honours from Venice Accademia delle Belli Arti, Laura Trevisan worked in the field of computer graphics for CNN in Atlanta and then as a freelance in Milan. At the same time, she continued to work and experiment as a painter, quickly developing a personal and unique style – characterized by a particular freshness and neatness of forms and colours – which allows her to express her humanity and deep sense of empathy.
Indeed, Laura Trevisan’s artistic activity is closely intertwined with her sense of responsibility and of social engagement: for her ethics and aesthetics spring form the same source and are two inseparable aspects of her personality. In more recent years, she has also worked in the development of set design for the theatre and in land art whilst continuing her work in painting, which is the thread running throughout her whole career, and which has lately been further enriched by a dialogue between western and eastern culture.
Her paintings have appeared in many exhibitions in Europe, the US, Latin America and Asia and have been sold in the most prestigious auctions, such as Drouot in Paris.
